Firefighters help rescue trapped lorry driver after collision involving two HGVs

FIREFIGHTERS helped rescue a lorry driver trapped following a collision involving two HGVs on the M6 at Warrington, yesterday, Thursday.

At around 10:20am four fire crews attended the collision on the M6 Northbound carriageway between junction 20 and junction 21.

Crews from Warrington, Birchwood and Runcorn attended along with a fourth fire engine from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the M6 involving two heavy goods vehicles.

Firefighters removed one person who was trapped in one of the vehicles and handed them to the care of paramedics.
