A crowd of almost 1500 attended a Warrington Wolves v The Rugby League All-Stars match at Victoria Park which helped raise £10,000 for charity.
The game was to raise funds for the RL All-Stars Charities Fund to Aid Children with cancer. The charity is to hand out £10000 a month for 6 months to the Amelia Mae Foundation.
The game was played in a cold blustery wind but this did not spoil the talents of both sides. Smiles were seen more than at your usual RL match.
It was a keenly fought game with honors even at the final whistle with both sides scoring 18 points.
Former Warrington stars taking part in the game included Bennie Westwood, Toa Kohe-Love, Tony Thorniley, Mark Forster, Kevin Brown, Ryan Atkins, Paul Wood, Kevin Penny and Chris Riley, under the watchful eye of former coach and player Paul Cullen.
