FITNESS suites at three Warrington leisure centres are being refurbished in time for Christmas.
Birchwood, Broomfields and Great Sankey’s facilities will all be improved.
While the work takes place facilities will be available at Culcheth High School Community Campus, Woolston Neighbourhood Hub and Fordton Leisure Centre.
The next phase of work will see refurbishment of Woolston Hub. This will include refurbishment of the poolside changing facilities, including a fully accessible disabled changing facility and the installation of new lockers.
A wellbeing suite, which will host a variety of activities delivered by Leisure Warrington and health professionals, will also be introduced.
Sites will be temporarily closed while work is completed.
Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Complex will be closed from November 29 and reopen on December 16, Broomfields will be closed on December 9 and will reopen on December 18, and Great Sankey will close on December 1 and re-open on December 14.
At Woolston the poolside changing rooms and showers will close on December 6 and re-open on March 14.
The learn to swim programme will be relocated and public swimming will be available at other centres. Further details are available by calling 813939 or by visiting www.leisurewarrington.co.uk
