Masked men in raid on shop

DETECTIVES at Warrington today appealed for information following a robbery at a newsagents.
Three men dressed in dark clothing and balaclavas forced their way into the shop in Myddleton Lane, Winwick.
The shop was closed at the time – 10pm on Friday (November 19) but a lone, female employee was on the premises.
The men demanded cash from th till and stole the woman’s handbag before fleeing the scene in a dark coloured car.
The victim, a 56-year-old local woman, was uninjured although shaken as a result of her ordeal.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information. They are asked to contact DC Mike Evans at Warrington CID on 0845 458 0000 or alternatively information may be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
