Air ambulance attends as one casualty seriously injured after three vehicle collision on Folly Lane

ONE motorist was seriously injured following a three-vehicle collision which resulted in Folly Lane being closed this morning.

The North West Air Ambulance attended near the scene parking on The Range car park.

While there were several casualties, including a male in their 50s who received serious injuries, none are believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 10.46am today, Monday, March 14, police were called to reports of a collision on Jockey Bridge, Folly Lane.

“Officers attended the scene and found that the collision involved three vehicles – a Mini Cooper, a Toyota C-HR Hybrid and a Range Rover.

“A number of people have been injured as a result of the incident, although not of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time.

“One of the casualties has been taken to Aintree Hospital.”

Folly Lane has now re-opened.
