FIRE crews were called to Warrington’s Time Square to deal with a high level door which was thought to be unsafe because of strong winds.
The door could not be reached internally so a fire engine from Warrington and an aerial ladder platform from Chester were called to the scene yesterday (Sunday)to make the door safe.
Had the door fallen it could have injured a passerby.
A cordon was set up while crews made the external utility door safe. Police temporarily closed Academy Way while the incident was being dealt with
