Temporary speed limits set for A57 Manchester Road during highway improvement works

TEMPORARY speed limits are being introduced on the A57 Manchester Road, Warrington, later this month to facilitate highway improvement works.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce the following: –

30 mph Speed Limit Restriction: A57 Manchester Road outside property No. 478 to a point 50 metres south of the eastbound stop line of its junction with Glazebrook Lane.

20 mph Speed Limit Restriction: A57 Manchester Road to a point 50 metres south of the eastbound stop line to the Borough Boundary of its junction with Glazebrook Lane; A57 Manchester Road from the Borough Boundary to a point 50 metres past the westbound stop line of its junction with Glazebrook Lane.

The Order will be effective from 14th March 2022 for two weeks, when signed on site. The restrictions are required to facilitate highway improvement works.
