TRAIN services have resumed following delays at Warrington Central this morning caused by a fire near the track between Manchester and Liverpool.

The line was closed due to a fire at a property in Mossley Hill in Liverpool, with Northern Rail temporarily closing all stations between Warrington Central and Mossley Hill, causing disruption for Warrington commuters travelling to Liverpool.

Trains between Manchester’s Oxford Road station and Liverpool Lime Street were delayed by half an hour, or terminated.
