UPDATED: FIRE crews were called into action this morning when high winds damaged a section of the roof of Cineworld at Warrington’s new multi-million £ Time Square development.
Fire engines from Lymm and Knutsford, and a rope rescue unit went to the scene shortly before 10am.
The rope rescue unit was required to help with making the damaged roof safe.
In order to keep the public safe, firefighters and the rope rescue unit cordoned off the perimeter of the building before the rope rescue team made their way onto the damaged roof to secure and remove a panel.
Firefighters helped a roof engineer hold down surrounding roof panels.
