Traffic delays on M62 near Birchwood after two vehicle collision

TRAFFIC was stopped on the M62 westbound near Birchwood this afternoon, Wednesday, after two vehicles left the carriageway.

ALL traffic was temporarily held following a road traffic collision involving two cars between Junction 12 and 11 Westbound near Birchwood

The collision took place at around 3.50 pm and resulted in two cars ending up on the embankment.

One of three lanes was closed while emergency services attend at the scene.

All lanes have since re-opened
