TRAFFIC disruption is expected when a stretch of Orford Road, Warrington, is closed to allow Network Rail to clear vegetation from a railway bridge.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Orford Road from its junction with Birchwood Way to its junction with Syers Court.

The Order will be effective from 24th February 2022 to 26th February 2022, between 10pm and 6am, when signed on site.

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative route will be via Birchwood Way, Woolston Grange Avenue, Manchester Road, King Edward Street and vice versa.

The closure is required to allow Network Rail to remove vegetation from their bridge structure.
