A SALE of old library books is to take place at Birchwood Library during normal opening hours from Wednesday, November 17 to Saturday, November 20.
Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 11, 12 and 14. The jackpot prize was not claimed and will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a member of hospital staff.
Car wash
PLANS for a drive-through car wash facility on vacant land off Marson Street, Bewsey, Warrington have been given the go-ahead.
Pub facelift
PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for a major facelift for the Lord Rodney pub in Winwick Road, Warrington. This will include a canopy to the front entrance, news windows on the ground and first floors, new doors on the ground floor and new paving in front of the building.
Phone mast
PLANS for a 17.5m telecommunications mast and associated equipment cabinet in Leacroft Road, Risley, have been given the go-ahead by Warrington planners.
