WARRINGTON Rylands will be switching on the Gorsey Lane floodlights on Tuesday when they host Colne in an NPL West fixture, kick off 7.45pm.

While Warrington Rylands were battling to a draw at Clitheroe on Saturday Colne were sat relaxing with their feet up following the postponement of the home game against Widnes due a water logged Holt House pitch.

With  last Saturday’s home game with Widnes being cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch Colne’s last outing was a  3-0 defeat at Bootle on Saturday 29th January, a defeat which extended their winless run to seven games.

One of those defeats was at the hands, or feet, of Rylands who visited Holt House on Tuesday 18th January. Colne were reduced to tem men when Dean Ing was sent off in the 14th minute. Andy Scarisbrick opened the scoring for Rylands a minute into the second half before Kane Drummond made the game safe by adding a second in the 75th minute to seal a 2-0 win for the Blues.

Colne’s recent poor form has seen them drop from mid table safety to 15th place,  just two places above the relegation zone, so will be just as desperate for a win as Rylands.

The two team’s respective league records going into today’s game are:

P          W         D          L          GF        GA       GD       PTS      POS

Rylands                        25        16        4          5          58        30        28        52        3
Colne                           25        6          11        8          26        32        -6         29        15

Away from Holt House, Colne’s league record this season is:

P          W         D          L
13        5          2          6

While Rylands home record is:

P          W         D          L
13        10        1          2

Kick off at Gorsey Lane is 7.45pm with admission being £8 adults, £5 concessions (16-18 & 60+) £2 U16’s, plus programmes £2.

Refreshment bar in the ground serving beers, hot and cold drinks, pies, burgers and chips etc.
