ROAD closures are set to come into force near Warrington town centre next week to allow United Utilities to carry out water connection works in the area.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Orchard Street from its junction with Victoria Street to its junction with School Brow; School Brow from its junction with Crossley Street to its junction with Brick Street.

The Order will be effective from 21st February 2022 for up to one week, when signed on site.

The alternative route for Orchard Street will be via Church Street, Manchester Road, School Brow and vice versa.

The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out water connection work.
