Road closures rescheduled at Orford for highway improvement works

A number of road closures have been rescheduled for the Orford area next month (February) while highway improvements works are carried out over a two week period.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Fisher Avenue from its junction with Statham Avenue for a distance of approximately 20 metres in a southerly direction; Statham Avenue from its junction with Morgan Avenue to the roundabout at Howson Road/Northway.

The Order will be effective from February 14, 2022, for 14 days between 9:30am & 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, when signed on site.

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative routes will be: Statham Avenue via Statham Avenue, Poplars Avenue, Howson Road and vice versa; Fisher Avenue via Fisher Avenue Clough Avenue, Northway and vice versa.

The restrictions are required for highway improvement works.
