Busy roads face closure

IMPROVEMENT works mean temporary closure of several busy roads in Warrington from Monday November 1.
Closures will affect the A50 Knutsford Road, from its junction with Bellhouse Lane to its junction with the A50 Cliff Lane, and Cliff Lane, from its junction with the A50 Knutsford Road to junction 20 of the M6 motorway.
There will also be a temporary speed limit of 30mph on the A50 Knutsford Road, from its junction with the A56 Stockport Road to its junction with the A50 Cliff Lane.
Speed restrictions will also apply to Cliff Lane, from its junction with the A50 Knutsford Road to junction 20 of the M6 motorway, and Grappenhall Lane, from its junction with the A50 Cliff Lane to its junction with Broad Lane.
Restrictions will apply for about six weeks and will allow the borough council to carry out road reconstruction works.
The alternative routes available are via A50 Cliff Lane, West Lane, High Legh Road, A56 Higher Lane, A56 Church Road, A56 Booths Hill Road, A56 Camsley Lane, A56 Stockport Road, and vice versa.
