FIREFIGHTERS were called to a smoke-logged property at Stockton Heath last night following a log burner fire.
Shortly after 8pm one fire engine attended from Stockton Heath to a property on London Road following reports of a log burner smoking excessively.
Wearing two breathing apparatus, a hose reel was used to put out the flames.
The logs were removed from the property and a large fan was used to disperse smoke.
The fire is believed to have been started due to the logs being too close to the wood burner.
Meanwhile, in another incident at 8.12 pm one crew from Warrington was called to a small fire in the open on Capesthorne Road, Warrington
Crews used water to extinguish a small fire located in a wooded area near Capesthorne Road.
