THE production line at Lymm Rugby Club continues to produce a steady stream of talented players, with six Lymm Senior Colts representing Cheshire for the first county game this season, at this level.
In a Covid-disrupted schedule, Cheshire Senior Colts played an exciting game against Northumberland at Keighley and the young players all had a solid performance despite going down in the first half. However, Cheshire pulled it back in the final 20 minute to beat Northumberland 31 – 22 in a tight and tense game.
Club President Neil Kelly said: “It is great to see so many young players from Lymm represent Cheshire in one match. It is a much-deserved honour and proof that despite the recent Covid issues our Mini, Junior and Colts teams are on track, encouraging and producing top players at this age group. I look forward to seeing them all in the senior squad soon.”
