YOUTH workers in the Orford area of Warrington will soon have secure storage for their cycles.
The borough council’s development management committee has given the go-ahead to proposals for a storage container on the car park at The Hub, in Capesthorne Road – formerly known as Orford Youth Base.
Youth workers doing outreach work in the area will be able to store their cycles in the container.
The committee decided the container – currently in the Great Sankey area – could be moved to Orford after hearing there was ample room for it on the car park, where it would be located towards the rear of the site.
There would be no significant visual impact on the nearest houses.
More than 40 nearby residents had been consulted and no objections had been raised. Ward councillors had also been consulted and there had been no concerns expressed
Consent has been limited for five years.
