Man robbed in street

DETECTIVES in Warrington today issued an appeal for information after a man was robbed in the street.
The 26-year-old was walking along Roome Street, Warrington when a man emerged from an alleyway brandishing a screwdriver.
He approached the victim and threatened him, asking for his belongings. The terrified man handed over his wallet, watch and a signet ring, at which point the offender ran away into the alley he came from and disappeared.
The offender is described as about 5ft 8 inches tall, of stocky/chubby build, with black short shaven hair. he was aged in his early thirties and was wearing a grey top and bottoms.
The incident took place at about 10.15pm on Thursday, September 23
