Bus shelter vandal caught on camera

A 17-year-old youth was arrested as a result of being caught in the act of vandalising a bus shelter by a security camera.
The incident was at a bus shelter in Buntingford Road, Thelwall, Warrington.
Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council – which purchased the CCTV system – hopes the camera and its success in tracking down the offender, will deter future acts of vandalism.
The council has also invested £2,750 on an eight-camera CCTV system at Grappenhall Heyes Walled Garden, which has been repeatedly hit by vandals.
Day-night cameras record 25 frames per second and store footage for up to 28 days.
