Firefighters called out after fire alarm activated by burnt food

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Ryfields village in Warrington after burnt food activated a fire alarm at a flat.

At around 4pm firefighters attended reports of a fire alarm activation at a flat on Arena Gardens, Warrington.

On arrival at the scene, the crew found that the flat was heavily smoke-logged due to burnt food.

The crew used a large fan to clear the smoke and were detained at the scene for around 25 minutes.
