No serious injuries following three-vehicle collision on M6 at Woolston

FOUR fire crews were called out last night following a three-vehicle collision on the M6 southbound at Woolston, including one which had overturned.

Crews from Lymm, Birchwood and two from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended following the collision at around 7.10 pm on the M6 southbound between junctions 21 and 20.

On arrival at the scene the crews found the incident involved three vehicles, one of which had overturned.

Firefighters helped to release one casualty who was medically trapped in their vehicle, they were then passed to the care of paramedics. There were no reports of any serious injuries.

The crews were detained at the scene for around 90 minutes.
