A road closure is scheduled to take place later this month to allow Network Rail to carry out a structural survey of a railway bridge on Hawleys Lane, Warrington.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hawleys Lane from its junction with Eagle Park Drive to its junction with Tavlin Avenue.

The Order will be effective on 21st November 2021 between the hours of 9am and 3pm as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative route will be via Winwick Road, Kerfoot Street, Folly Lane, Longshaw Street and vice versa.

The closure is required to allow Network Rail to carry out a structural examination of the railway bridge.
