FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a kitchen fire at Padgate where a woman had to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
Shortly after 3.30 pm yesterday, Thursday, crews from Birchwood and Lymm attended to a kitchen fire at Jurby Court, Padgate, Warrington.
Crews, wearing two breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
Crews then scanned the kitchen using a thermal imaging camera.
One woman was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
The fire is believed to have been caused by burnt food left unattended.
