A TOTAL of £13,151 was raised last year by Lymm and district Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Organisers Margaret and Leonard Woodward are now starting to plan this year’s collection and are seeking help from people prepared to give up some of their time.
Margaret said: “We are looking for volunteers to help deliver and collect Poppy Boxes to the schools and shops in our Lymm and district area.”
Anyone who can help should contact Margaret or Leonard on 01925 754180.
The Lymm branch has recently become affiliated to the Lymm 2137 Squadron Air Training Cadets as a youth organisation.
Margaret said: “Our aim is to promote mutual support and encouragement to each others’ aims within our local community.”
