Residents loses plans battle

A HOUSEHOLDER has lost a planning battle to build an extension at his home in Whitchurch Close, Padgate, Warrington.
The scheme, involving a two-storey side extension, single-storey rear extension and detached garage, has been rejected by a planning inspector.
Borough council planners originally refused consent because of the impact on living conditions at adjoining houses.
The inspector agrees that the development would serious reduce the space between the house and the rear of a house in Westbury Close, having an overbearing effect on the outlook from the other house.
