PUPILS at primary schools across Warrington are being invited to enter a competition to design festive images for a Christmas Card.
Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer, has launched the competition and hopes youngsters will get creative and come up with some designs for his Christmas cards this year.

All entries will be judged by the Commissioner and the winners will receive a prize.
He is looking for four bespoke designs – one from each of the Local Authority areas in the county, Warrington, Cheshire West and Chester, Cheshire East and Halton.
Primary school children up to age 11 can submit an original design for the Commissioner to consider. Entries can be submitted as a drawing, painting or photograph; they must be Christmas-themed, of A5 size (portrait or landscape orientation) and can be in colour or black and white. The competition is free to enter.
All entrants should include their name, age, contact number (of a parent/guardian or school) and include the name and address of their school on the reverse of their design. Please do not include this as part of the design itself.
Mr Dwyer said: “I know some people will feel it’s a little too early to mention the word Christmas, but it’ll be here before you know it.
“I’m excited to see the imaginative ideas which the children will come up with and I want young people to show me their best creations. I think it’s a lovely idea to send a Christmas card featuring designs from Cheshire’s children of and spread festive wishes to others, especially after the turmoil of the last couple of years.”
Designs can be sent by post FAO Sarah Tilling, Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Clemonds Hey, Oakmere Road, Winsford, Cheshire, CW7 2UA or via email: [email protected] with the subject ‘Christmas Card Competition’.
Designs need to be received by Friday November 5.
