Costly vandalism
MINDLESS vandalism at Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden has cost £1,314 to repair. Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council is to consider CCTV cameras to cover the whole garden.

Hospital lottery
TWO winners have each scooped £569.50 in the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital Lottery.
The winning numbers this week were 5, 8, 15 and 16. A £25 consolation prize was also awarded.

Guide reunion
MEMBERS of the Guides, Brownies and Rainbows groups at St Hilda’s, St James’ and Emmanuel Church, Bold Street, Warrington is to take place on September 8 at the guide headquarters on Loushers Lane, Warrington. Further details from 01925 654946.

PENKETH and Great Sankey Garden Society’s winter programme opens on Wednesday (Sept 1) with a hot pot supper at Meeting Lane community centre. The evening starts at 7.30pm.
