Naked calendar raised £6,000

THE 2010 “Culcheth Gets Naked” calendar produced by local businesses raised more than £6,000 for St Rocco’s Hospice.
A cheque was presented to hospice representative Malcolm Kindon at the offices of Courtyard Property Consultants in Culcheth.
It was produced by local business, along with Jo Heaton and Chrissy McAreavey in memory of local woman Sally Czerwinka.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 at the age of 38 and from then on focused much of her time and energy on organising fundraising event for breast cancer charities.
But plans for a 2009 calendar were put on hold as her condition deteriorated and she sadly died in December 2008.
Her close friends, Jo and Chrissy, were determined to make her dream come true and set out convincing local businesses to get involved. The result was the unique calendar.
They have sent a big “thank you” to everyone who helped in the enterprise.
