Housing group's boost for cancer care

FUNDRAISING events organised by Warrington Housing Association (WHA) helped raise £1,137 for Breast Cancer Care.
Employees worked to raise the cash with a series of events including sponsored races and raffles. WHA also raised money by going green – recycling its old hardware and repairing old PCs for employees in return for a donation.
Resources director Claire Harris said: “Every year we select a different charity and set about raising as much money as possible. Breast Cancer Care is a very worthy cause, one that is close to many of our hearts. The whole team got involved with the fundraising.”
Next year the association’s chosen charity will be The British Heart Foundation.
