Warrington’s fluctuating COVID-19 figures have risen again slightly with 95 new cases confirmed in the town

The 95 (111) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 28,054 (27,959).



Infection rates in Warrington for the last seven days have risen to 718 (707) – 342.9 (337.6) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period which is still below the national average of 407 (392.1) per 100,000, which have risen.
While one more death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital, inpatient numbers have remained at 21, while five patients have been discharged with two in ICU.
Meanwhile, the UK has recorded 156 further coronavirus-related deaths and 29,547 new COVID-19 infections in the latest 24-hour period.
A further 25,019 first vaccine doses were administered in the latest 24 hours, taking the first dose total to 48,395,359 or 89% of those aged 16 and above.
Some 89,832 people received their second dose, taking the total of double-jabbed people in the country to 43,895,440 (80.8% of those aged 16 and above).
Meanwhile, the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), released on Friday, showed that COVID rates in England rose in children aged two to those in school year 11 (aged 15/16), and for those aged 35 to 49 in the week to 3 September.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 501 (499) 239.3 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 200.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 579 (579).

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths reported on Saturday, September 11 2021 was 156 (147), taking the total number of deaths to 134,144 (133,988).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 29,547 (37,622), taking the total number to 7,197,662 (7,168,806).
Across the country, there are 8,098 (8,098) patients currently in hospital and 1,060 (1,060) on ventilation.
