MOTORISTS are being warned of congestion and delays on the M6 Northbound due to ongoing bridge repairs following Tuesday’s fatal collision between junction 17 and 18 Northbound.
Two lanes are still closed following the bridge strike and will remain closed going into next week.
Congestion is currently backing up to Sandbach.
Meanwhile, Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following the fatal collision on Tuesday 7 September on the northbound carriageway between junctions 17 (Sandbach) and 18 (Middlewich) which led to the death of a lorry driver aged 61.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
