Fire crews in two-hour battle

FIRE crews fought for two-and-a-half hours during the night to control a blaze involving a large portable building in Odessa Walk at Chapelford Urban Village.
The blaze – the cause of which is being investigated – spread to a nearby shipping container, the contents of which caught fire.
Firefighters had to cut through the back of the container to extinguish the blaze.
A firefighter at the scene said: “The container was glowing red due to the heat caused by the burning building and this in turn ignited the contents.”
