Hunt for burglars who stole sentimental jewellery during Appleton burglary

POLICE investigating a burglary in Appleton involving the theft of sentimental jewellery, are appealing for information from members of the public.

At 9.15pm on Friday 3 September three men forced their way into a house on Ashberry Drive, Appleton Thorn, while it was unoccupied.



The men searched the property and stole a quantity of sentimental jewellery including three rings, two necklaces, two gold link chains and a Longines watch and then fled the scene.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the men and officers are appealing for information, CCTV or dash cam footage which could assist the investigation.
PC Hazel Culleton, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “The men were in the home for a short amount of time and managed to steal items of jewellery which are hugely sentimental to the home owner.
“If anyone has attempted to sell the jewellery to you or you believe you may have seen it please get in touch with us.
“The investigation is ongoing and we have been following numerous lines of enquiry. I am encouraging anyone who may have seen these men in the run up to and after the burglary to contact us especially if you have CCTV or dash cam footage that can assist.”
