PARTS of a busy motorway link road at Warrington are to be closed over a six week period while resurfacing work is carried out.
The Winwick Link Road, between Junction 22 of the M6 and the A49 roundabout is to be resurfaced and work is to start on Monday, August 2.
In an attempt to minimise disruption to residents, businesses and the travelling public, works will be carried out in phases.
Lane closures and contra flow will allow the works to take place and a temporary speed limit reduction of 30mph will also be put in place.
Work will be carried out between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of the works.

You know 8am-7pm is its busiest period don’t you.. I mean I’m no town planner or anything…but hey you know that by the fact I can read and write. Can I suggest a couple of traffic lights, 5 foot long cycle lanes, oh and a no right turn always goes down well. theres no lights on the roundabout at the motorway end… your missing an oppertunity there !
