Scouts want more local links

SCOUTS at Stockton Heath want to get the local community more involved in its activities – and using its premises.
The scout group contacted Stockton Heath Parish Council to say they would like more youth and community groups to use the premises in Parkgate Road. They are anxious to increase the numbers of volunteers and activities for young people.
Members heard there are currently 130 members, both boys and girls.
Chairman Coun Graham Roughsedge said: “Anything to give young people something to do is welcome.”
He said it could be very successful like the Broomfields Youth Project at Appleton.
