One more COVID-19 death and 139 new cases as infection rates continue to rise

SADLY another COVID-19 death has been reported at Warrington Hosital over the weekend with another 139 cases reported in the town as infection rates continue to rise.

A total of seven patients were discharged over the weekend, with the total number of inpatients remaining at 16, with four in intensive care.



The 139 (116) new COVID-19 cases take the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 21,109 (20,970).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again, with 823 (782) – 391.9 (372.4) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– and are still well above the national average of 311.7 (298.1) per 100,000, which continues to rise.

Current inpatients as of Monday, July 12 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 16 (16) including 4 (5) in ICU.

  1. It’s crazy Gary. Masks, at the very least, should be mandatory as the idiots will stop instantly. Our 10-year-old Grand-daughter’s whole year group was sent home this morning for 10 days because one of her classmates has tested positive. Why can’t they tell parents to test kids every morning and only send them in if negative? Our girl has been tested today and is negative but still shouldn’t go out. Homeschooling again, no swimming, no singing lessons or after-school clubs. Yet 60,000 can go to Wembley and tens of thousands at Wimbledon. It’s turning into a complete farce.
