Car crashes down embankment

EMERGENCY services were called out at Warrington when a car carrying four young men careered off the road and down an embankment following a collision with a Landrover Discovery.
Fire crews helped passengers from the car after the crash in Padgate Lane and one of the occupants went to Warrington Hospital for treatment for minor head injuries.
The other three were not seriously hurt.
The car. a Ford Fiesta, left the road after the collision and careered down an embankment to end up in the grounds of Padgate Tennis Club.
The occupants of the Landrover were unhurt.
Fire crews were also called out to Ballantyne Place, Winwick when a BMW – believed to have been stolen – was set alight.
The car was completely burned out.
