A PENKETH road is set to be closed for up to three weeks to allow a sewer connection to be built for a new housing development.

Warrington Borough Council aims to introduce a prohibition of driving on Stocks Lane from its junction with Farnworth Road/Warrington Road to its junction with Haslemere Drive.

The Order will be effective from 12th July 2021 for three weeks, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Widnes Road, Warrington Road, Penketh Road, Sankey Way, Liverpool Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow for sewer connection works to a new development.
