Storage building may be demolished to make way for Green Belt house

PLANS have been drawn up for the construction of a new, detached house at Glazebury, Warrington involving the part demolition of existing storage buildings.

The scheme is at Wards End Farm, Lateley Common, Glazebury.
It would involve the demolition of about 80 percent of the existing buildings.

The remainder will be retained for storage purposes.
A report to be considered by borough council planning officers indicates that the new dwelling will sit within the footprint of the buildings to be demolished.
It states the dwelling will have no greater impact on the openness of the Green Belt than the existing buildings.
Wards End Farm is occupied by Mr and Mrs R.F. Woolstencroft and the proposed new house would be occupied by their son, Sam.
It would be adjacent to the existing farm house and would be accessed by a track serving an existing caravan storage area.
Planning chiefs have yet to reach a decision on the application.
