Facelift for play area

PUTTING other jobs on hold and working late nights ensured a Lymm trader gave a “fantastic facelift” to an outdoor activity area for young children.
Because of his connections with the area, James Slavin worked for free on the project for pre-school children at Oughtrington Community Centre.
His connections also enabled him to obtain materials and labour donated by a number of other traders.
James, of J C Slavin Landscape and Garden Maintenance, managed to get the work completed within the pre-school group’s budget of £7,000.
Work carried out included removing scrubs, clearing the site, fencing and providing raised planters. Other work included building an archway for flowers to grow on and painting fences.
He said: “The work took about a month and has given a fantastic facelift.”
