Knutsford Road to close for railway bridge examination works

A section of Knutsford Road at Latchford will be closed on Tuesday, July 6 while Network Rail carries out bridge examination works.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.



The effect of the order will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Knutsford Road from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Kingsway South.
The Order will be effective on 6th July 2021 between 8pm and 11:59pm, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Knutsford Road, Hallaway, Knutsford Road, Wilderspool Causeway, London Road, Grappenhall Road, Chester Road and vice versa.
Wash Lane from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Prescott Street, will also be closed.
The closures are required to allow Network Rail to carry out bridge examination works.
