A MAN was knocked unconscious when he was struck on the head in a Warrington town centre bar.
Police today issued an appeal for information about the attack, which occurred in the Voodoo Bar on Academy Way.
The 28-year-old victim required hospital treatment for a head wound after the attack.
As a result of police enquiries, a 23-year-old man was later arrested and, following interview, freed on bail pending further enquires.
But police are still asking for information – particularly from anyone who was in the bar and witnessed the incident.
The attack was at about 12.55am on Saturday, July 10.
Anyone who can help is asked to call Warrington CID on 0845 458 0000, or alternatively Crimestoppers, confidentially, on 0800 555 111.
