A MOVING talk given by a local charity to Stockton Heath Lions prompted the group to organise a fundraising night.
The Lions organised a Quiz Night at St Mary Magdalene’s church hall, Appleton, and raised £500 for Warrington Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Newly appointed president Dorothy Carter presented the cheque to Dorothy Lewis, from the society.
Dorothy Carter said the Lions were “extremely impressed and touched” by the dedication and courage portrayed during a talk given by the society.
Dorothy Lewis thanked members and said the money would help provide care for the society’s members.
