EIGHT new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Warrington while new data from Public Health England reveals at least 15 known cases of Indian variant in the town.
The eight (4) new COVID-19 cases were reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is 17,981 (17,973).
Meanwhile, new data from Public Health England reveals at least 15 Indian variant cases in Warrington in the 21 days ending 29th May out 76 confirmed positive specimens.
Across the UK there was just one reported coronavirus-related death and 3,383 confirmed infections in the past 24 hours.
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again slightly, with 22 (21) – 10.5 (10) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– but are still well below the national rate of 28.6 (27) per 100,000, which continues to rise.
Warrington & Halton Hospitals have temporarily suspended provided information due to a data validation exercise.
There have been no reported deaths at the hospital since April 27th.
There have been a total of 497 COVID-related deaths at the hospital since the start of the pandemic.
