Conifer fire spreads to guttering

TWO fire crews were called out when a fire involving conifers spread to the guttering of a property at Burtonwood, Warrington, yesterday.

Shortly before 4pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire involving conifers in Cheddar Grove, Burtonwood, Warrington.



On arrival, smoke was coming from the conifers and the fire had affected the guttering of a nearby domestic property.
No smoke had entered the property.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and inspected the roof space of the property to make sure that it was safe.
A thermal imaging camera was used to look for hotspots.
Firefighters left the address once they were satisfied that the fire was fully out and it was safe.
They were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
No-one is believed to have been injured as a result of the fire.
The fire is believed to have been started accidentally via a naked flame.
