Seven new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington as infection rates remain well below national average

A total of seven new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Warrington but infection rates have fallen again and are well below the national average.

The Seven (4) new COVID-19 cases were reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is 17,952 (17,945).



Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have fallen slightly, with 18 (19) – 8.6 (9) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– well below half the national rate of 24.9 (24.4) per 100,000.
Warrington & Halton Hospitals have temporarily suspended provided information due to a data validation exercise.
There have been no reported deaths at the hospital since April 27th.
There have been a total of 497 COVID-related deaths at the hospital since the start of the pandemic.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 488 (487) 232.4 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 191.3
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is now 567 (567).
