THE Lloyds Banking Group is to create 153 jobs at its Warrington call centre.
More than 100 of the jobs will be completely new while nearly 50 are being relocated from its Chester office.
The changes are part of a wider shake-up of the group.
Warrington South MP David Mowat today welcomed the bank’s move.
He said: “I am delighted at today’s announcement from Lloyds Banking Group to create a further 153 jobs in their Warrington Customer Contact Centre. This will make a substantial contribution to the local economy and will help the fight against unemployment.”
