Witnesses sought after road accident

POLICE at Warrington are seeking witnesses of a road traffic accident in which a car was in collision with a 48-year-old man as he crossed a lorry park.
The man, from Dublin, is now being treated in Warrington Hospital, where his condition is described as “serious.”
The collision occurred on the lorry park at the Poplars Truck Stop, off Junction 20 of the M6 at Lymm at 7.15pm on Friday, June 18.
A blue Vauxhall Astra, driven by a 55-year-old woman from Runcorn, was in collision with the pedestrian.
The car driver was unhurt.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who can offer any information that may assist the investigation, to contact Sergeant Neil Farnworth at Northern Traffic Investigation Unit on 0845 458 0000.
